Tour Program

Agadir → Taroudant → Taliouine → Taznakht → Aït Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate

Your private driver-guide will meet you at your hotel in Agadir before beginning an incredible journey toward southern Morocco.

Travel through the fertile Souss Valley to Taroudant, often referred to as the “Little Marrakech” thanks to its impressive ramparts, lively souks, and authentic atmosphere.

Continue through the spectacular landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Taliouine, Morocco’s world-famous saffron capital. If time permits, visit a local saffron cooperative and discover how this precious spice is cultivated and harvested.

Drive onward through Taznakht, renowned throughout Morocco for its handwoven Berber carpets, before reaching the legendary Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most spectacular fortified villages.

Explore its narrow earthen streets and panoramic viewpoints while learning about its fascinating history and appearances in films including Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Kingdom of Heaven, and The Mummy.

Continue a short distance to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Depending on your arrival time, you may visit Atlas Film Studios or admire the beautiful Kasbah Taourirt.

Relax in your traditional riad or hotel.

Traditional Riad or Boutique Hotel in Ouarzazate

Ouarzazate → Agdz → Draa Valley → Foum Zguid → Lake Iriki → Erg Chegaga

Stop in the peaceful oasis town of Agdz, enjoying spectacular panoramic viewpoints over the valley before continuing toward Foum Zguid, the final town before entering Morocco’s remote Sahara.

Here, the paved road ends.

Board your 4×4 vehicle and venture deep into the wilderness, crossing the vast dry lakebed of Lake Iriki, once an enormous prehistoric lake and now one of Morocco’s most extraordinary desert landscapes.

As the afternoon light softens, the towering dunes of Erg Chegaga rise dramatically from the horizon.

Upon arrival, enjoy traditional Moroccan mint tea before climbing the dunes to witness an unforgettable Sahara sunset.

As night falls, enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner accompanied by traditional Berber music around the campfire beneath one of the clearest night skies in North Africa.
