Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Leave the vibrant Red City behind and journey across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking panoramic viewpoints overlooking traditional Berber villages and dramatic mountain landscapes.

Leave the main road to visit the historic Kasbah Telouet, once the luxurious residence of the powerful Glaoui family. Discover its beautifully decorated rooms, intricate mosaics, and fascinating history before continuing through the scenic Ounila Valley.

Arrive at the legendary Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The silence of the desert is broken only by the gentle footsteps of your camels and the wind moving across the dunes.

Enjoy a traditional picnic lunch before continuing toward the magnificent dunes of Erg Sahel.

Arrive in time to witness one of the most spectacular sunsets imaginable as golden light transforms the dunes into shades of orange and red.

Today’s journey crosses the vast Hamada, a fascinating rocky desert landscape that contrasts beautifully with yesterday’s rolling sand dunes. Along the route, discover fossil-rich terrain, ancient caravan tracks, and breathtaking panoramic views stretching endlessly across the Sahara.

As you gradually approach the fertile edge of the Draa Valley, the landscape changes once again, with palm groves beginning to appear on the horizon.

Arrive near Oulad Driss, where your comfortable desert camp offers shower facilities and a chance to relax after several unforgettable days travelling by camel.

Celebrate your final evening in the Sahara with a traditional Moroccan feast, freshly baked bread prepared in the sand, Berber music, and stories shared around the campfire.

Camel Trek: Approximately 4 hours

Dinner & Overnight: Desert Camp near Oulad Driss.

After breakfast, bid farewell to your camel caravan, guides, and the unforgettable landscapes of the Sahara.

Travel to M’Hamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the endless desert, before continuing north toward Tamgroute, one of southern Morocco’s cultural treasures.

Visit the famous Tamgroute Pottery Cooperative, where skilled artisans continue producing the region’s distinctive green pottery using traditional methods passed down through generations. If time permits, you may also visit the historic Nasiriyya Library, home to centuries-old Islamic manuscripts.

After lunch, continue through the spectacular Draa Valley, passing ancient kasbahs and endless palm groves before reaching Ouarzazate.
